Jim has owned his own English language school (Luna International) in Nagano prefecture, central Japan, since 1998. His school has offered a wide range of English learning opportunities for young learners and adults, and was previously an authorized centre for Cambridge exams. Jim also has extensive experience in teacher training and assessment, including working as a Team Leader for speaking examiners.
His day job - teaching young and very young learners, as well as adults, in group and 1-1 classes in his own language school. Considerable experience ‘entertaining’/trying to teach in kindergarten, as well as in elementary, junior & high schools…university too.
Once upon a time piloted Potato Pals for OUP. Lifelong learner, keen advocate for teacher development, and really bad at Japanese - so teaching kindy kids is really his level.
