Professor Samantha Thomas is Professor of Public Health at Deakin University, Editor in Chief of Health Promotion International, and a board member of ICARA. Samantha’s research focuses on the commercial and political determinants of health. Her current projects include examining the role of conflicts of interest in policy decision making about women’s health (particularly menopause); the influence of corporate and political interests on climate (in)action; and the impact of marketing and public relations strategies on the normalisation of gambling for young people and women.
