Kehkashan is an educator, environmentalist and champion of children’s rights. At just seven years old, she already felt concerned about the state of the environment and wanted to contribute to a greener and more equitable future. In 2013, she was elected a United Nations Environment Programme global coordinator for children. At the age of 12, she founded Green Hope Foundation, which now works across 28 countries, empowering over 500,000 people in the sustainable development process through education. She is the recipient of Canada's Meritorious Service Medal, a Forbes 30 Under 30 and a UN Human Rights Champion.
