Setsuko Toyama, co-author of English Time series and author of Beehive/Buzz Starter, has taught various age groups, worked closely with primary teachers and published a large number of teaching materials, both internationally and domestically.
She has conducted teacher-training workshops and presented at international conferences in Japan and Asian countries. Based in Niigata, Japan, she taught Principles and Practice in Teaching Young Learners English at Keiwa College as a guest professor and trained students to become primary teachers. She has conducted teacher-training seminars for primary teachers in various cities in Japan, focusing on learning styles, multiple intelligences and cooperative learning. She believes in pro bono activity and has taught in primary schools as a volunteer teacher. Her motto is “Teaching is learning.”
