Learning Area Manager (Science), Australian Academy of Science & author of Oxford Science 7–10 Victorian Curriculum
Helen Silvester is a neuroscientist by training and a passionate science teacher by profession. She enjoys all forms of science communication from teaching to presenting, from designing curriculum to writing textbooks. She has over twenty years’ experience in education, having taught science to all age groups, from 3-year-olds to 18-year-olds. She draws on her extensive experience and current research to create innovative curriculum resources for both students and educators. 

She is currently the Learning Area Manager (Science) at the Australian Academy of Science.
