When I say ‘grammar teaching’ what is the first image that comes into your mind?
For many people (and certainly for me!) the first and most popular image that comes to mind is that of a single teacher presenting a grammar rule from the blackboard to a room of (disinterested) students. From this image, we might think or grammar rules only in a table, as a set of example sentences, or as a ‘lecture’, with students individually writing grammar structures. In other words, almost the opposite of what a ‘communicative approach’ might be! However, the teaching of grammar can take many forms and include a variety of interesting approaches.
In this workshop participants will explore various engaging ways to introduce, interact with, and explore grammar with students. We will use materials from Tiếng Anh 11 Friends Global to illustrate these concepts with practical examples of activities that you can try.
