As digital tools continue to be applied to education and English language teaching, educators need to select and use technology effectively and efficiently. Focusing on reading skills and practice, teaching support should match both learner needs and user abilities. There are a variety of different reading tools available, and it can be difficult to know which ones are right for you.
In our session, we will examine various digital tools designed for the reading lessons. We will explore effective methods educators can use with these tools to help learner comprehension and applying content through practice. We will review apps familiar to educators, provide suggestions for alternative use, and explore A.I. (artificial intelligence) and how it can be used to teach reading. Together we will become confident with the tools we have to get more from our reading classes.
