Beatrice Segura-Harvey
Beatrice is a freelance ELT consultant, currently living in Brighton, UK. She’s been working in the EFL industry for 17 years and, in that time, she has been a teacher, Director of Studies, teacher trainer, researcher, guest speaker, mentor and written negotiated syllabi and bespoke courses for teachers and students all over the world. Recently Bea has taken a step back from managing teams of over 50 teachers to solely focus on her true passion, teacher development, as she believes ‘a supported teacher is a catalyst for better education for all’.

Pete Jones
Pete Jones has over 20 years’ experience in the ELT industry as a teacher, examiner, resource creator, leader and consultant. He specialises in helping education providers create more meaningful outcomes for learners, and this includes (among many other things) implementing assessment for learning practices.
He has worked with Oxford University Press, Cambridge University Press and Assessment, the New Zealand Qualifications Authority and various private language schools and tertiary organisations in New Zealand and elsewhere.
His work in IELTS has taken him from New Zealand to Tonga to the ELTons and most places in between online.
His recent projects have included writing an AfL focus paper for Oxford University Press and integrating an organisation-wide learner wellbeing strategy in a tertiary institution in New Zealand.

Kate Derkach
Kate Derkach is a Pedagogy Research Manager in the ELT Division at OUP. She has a PhD in Applied Linguistics from the University of Cambridge and a MSc in Applied Linguistics and Second Language Acquisition from the University of Oxford. Her interest in academic research originates in her English language teaching experience in the UK, in Belgium, and in Ukraine, where she worked with various students, from children to international language students, to business executives, and also academics.
