In this session we look at how children benefit by understanding not only the objectives to each lesson but by having a clear idea of the overall success criteria for each unit task.
The learning journey needs to be carefully scaffolded and our aim is to ensure that all children have had the opportunity to practise fully the target language both individually and in collaboration with their peers.
In this way, learners gain confidence to make mistakes, try again, check their progress and finally produce their best spoken and written communication in English.
