In our increasingly interconnected world, effective communication skills are essential, and students must be equipped to handle a variety of practical communication scenarios. To do this, they need plenty of opportunities to practice and engage with the language.
This session will review essential criteria for designing effective and impactful student-centered activities that will help students express themselves effectively in English. Participants will explore practical activities designed to engage students and develop their communication competencies through structured exercises, using examples from Friends Plus. From dialogues and gap-fill activities to discussions and presentations, a variety of effective activities for teenage learners will be introduced and demonstrated, as well as essential supporting approaches (e.g. scaffolding, and more).
