This session will share up-to-date approaches for effectively using video to teach English. It will propose a three-step framework for integrating video into language lessons and emphasize techniques for engaging students through interaction with multimedia content, leading to deep retention of language knowledge and skills.

Within this framework, the presenter will demonstrate how to use various video types to develop language-specific and broader informational skills that prepare students for meaningful participation in today’s multimodal communication environment.

How can we guide every student to be successful? When our students learn in a supportive environment, they are excited to learn. In a positive classroom, students are challenged to think critically and encouraged to think creatively. They work together to ask questions and seek answers. They discover the world around them while sharing their own knowledge and experience. And they receive positive and timely feedback from their teacher, building confidence and emotional wellbeing. Learn how positive classroom strategies can promote success in your classroom.

Activity examples from Beehive and Buzz, sister courses that share the same teaching principles and activity types.

In this webinar, we will explore effective ways to engage young primary learners and build their communication, collaboration, and early literacy skills. Using sample materials from Buzz, we will demonstrate how songs, stories, intercultural videos, and structured pair‑work can create meaningful learning moments in every lesson.
Although the examples come from Buzz, the session is fully relevant to Beehive, its sister course that shares the same teaching principles and activity types. We will also highlight Beehive’s more challenging materials to show how these strategies apply across levels.
You’ll discover a wide range of online resources designed to support teachers, students, and parents—making your lessons more engaging and easier to deliver.
