About This Webinar

Conflicts of interest (COIs) pose risks to public health research, policy and decision making. They can also create ethical and reputational risks for researchers, including perceptions about the integrity of research. Despite this, expectations about COI declarations are still unclear for many researchers. Who should take responsibility for managing COIs? How should we assess the risks associated with accepting funding from organisations that may be harmful for health? Hosted by Health Promotion International and the International Confederation of Alcohol, Tobacco and Other Drug Research Associations, this panel discussion and Q&A will examine COIs specifically in relation to public health and addiction research and policy making.
